I know I did. I typically use Amazon for all of my purchasing needs (whenever possible). It's especially nice for Christmas as members of my family can create a wish list online and I can buy gifts based on those lists. Amazon rules....

I wouldn't say a majority, but I probably bought about 1/4 of my gifts from Amazon. I did however do about 90% of my christmas shopping online.

I used amazon to buy 2 gifts this year. Regretfully one didnt make it here on time for the holiday. I ordered 2 weeks in advance too, o well thats just how things work out sometime.

I work here at amazon (i'm only a temp) and I can tell you, most of the people I saw were terribly busy for about a month there. There's a sense of satisfied exhaustion permeating the place.

I did over half my gift buying this year with Amazon, and it worked out very well. Just order around the first week of December and you'll have everything in plenty of time. It beats the malls and the crowds anyday.

I made some game purchases at amazon.ca because they sell the games at the US price (so $30.00US = $30.00CAD), which is close to half of what I would pay in-store for the same games. If prices remain as low I'll be buying more games than ever. I've already bought 3 since late october, and a lot more will be bought in 2006!.

I made some purchases via Amazon and other online retailers this year. Also, I know the Civ IV I received for Christmas was purchased via Amazon.

I buy a lot from Amazon throughout the year, being an Amazon Prime subscriber, but I didn't buy many presents from them this year. I never buy video games from them for myself, since they are not eligible for Amazon Prime free 2-day shipping, nor are they cheaper than buying it from a store down the road. That's because they don't carry games themselves, but sell them through their Toy's R Us/Target/J&R affiliations.
